Bica Prolab offers a print mounting
service to a number of different types of substrates including:
- Foam-core: Foam Core is for short-term,
indoor displays and is our most cost effective mounting material.
Fome-Core is made up of a foam centre sandwiched by paper sheets
(liners). This substrate is our least durable; the corners are
easily bent and the surface easily dented.
- Gatorboard: This
is a much more durable substrate than Foam-core. This again
is a “sandwich” board, however the liners are MDF. The MDF makes
the board more rigid, less vulnerable to bent corners, dents
in the surface and bowing. Black Gatorboard is our most recommended
mounting material as it offers durability with remarkable low
weight together with a smooth surface. We are happy to put hangers
on the back of Gatorboard mounted prints at no charge.
